Message From the Founder.....

I didn't build Innerslut.com because I've had the perfect life.

I built it because I didn't.

My life has been messy, complicated, painful, and, at times, completely self-inflicted. Like so many others, I've made terrible decisions. I've experienced trauma without wearing it as my identity. I've lost everything and rebuilt more than once.

I've been labeled, misunderstood, talked about, lied about, abandoned, betrayed, snitched on, addicted, incarcerated, and judged by my past instead of my potential.

Every time life knocked me down, I got back up.

Sometimes only to get knocked down even harder.

What I discovered was this: the harder I fell, the faster I learned to stand... ALONE

Over the years I've been slapped with several labels and it's always the negative ones that hit hardest; a slut, a bitch, addict, toxic, felon, narcissist, selfish, cold-hearted, the black sheep, and the girl who watched her boyfriend take his own life. Yeah... that happened too.

Eventually I noticed something. These labels ride shot-gun with shame. The moment I stood up and said "yeah, I fucked up, can we get over it?", the labels got quiet.

All negative shit society used to define me, only had the power that I gave it.

They're shortcuts used by lazy people who do not think for themselves. It's my choice to be defined by them. Innerslut came from the moment I realized that I do not have to be defined by anyone elses opinions.

Neither do you.

So instead of running from the labels, I decided to redefine them. Some I reclaimed. Others I left behind. Every one of them taught me something.

That's why I created Innerslut.

Not to glorify bad choices.

Not to celebrate dysfunction.

But to prove that society's opinions of a person's past doesn't get the final say.

This brand isn't just clothing. It isn't just a logo. It isn't even just a message.

It's a reclamation.

A refusal to let shame write the ending of the story.

And yes—it's my unapologetic middle finger to every judgmental hypocrite who tried to convince me I would never be more than my mistakes. To every job application that asked if I was a felon before asking for my qualifications. To every back ground check that reduced me to a guilty plea.

If you've ever been underestimated, counted out, pled guilty, (or not guilty) and reduced to a label...

Welcome home.

You're in the right place.

FUCK SOCIETAL STANDARDS
